USS Lantau

Captain's Log Stardate 68597.2 -- Saying Goodbye to a friend

Posted on Wed Apr 24th, 2019 @ 1:58am by Captain Evelynn Haught

I don't know where to start. We have destroyed the Borg vessel but we also lost Commander Kerr in the process. Doctor MacKenzie done her best in trying to bring him back but it would appear that his body just couldn't handle the strain between the Borg nano-probes and the virus he injected himself with.

I not only lost a member of my crew but a valued friend.

Commander Kerr first came to the Lantau as my first Officer and has been an influential person to me in that position. As we began to find the USS Clip he was called back to the Alpha Quadrant to participate in a classified mission. He returned from the mission and served as the ships Chief Intelligence Officer.

Its going to be hard not having him on board.

To the family of Commander Finchley Kerr I offer these solemn words:

"Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy." Author Uknown

To my Friend Commander Kerr I say this:

"I believe if you keep your faith, you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, you'll see God open up new doors."

It seems as though God has opened up your final door Commander. Until we meet again.
